About Ed Kohout

Ed was born into a loving and caring middle class family in Chicago, Illinois, USA, on November 22, 1966, shortly before 9 am.

He was educated by various teachers, some good, some not so. His true guide was his communal being with nature, but he longed to understand the heavens that captured his imagination.

He completed an undergrad degree in English and Journalism, and then set out to do next to nothing for many years, traveling around, playing around, and looking for adventure.

Now that he’s an old fart, he writes about his various investigations into the mysterious expanse of things astrological.

Never one to join the club, Ed let the orbits take him where he needed to go, which was usually where the others won’t go. His focus mainly deals with the timing of events and entities, and sleuthing out the handiwork of the craft’s silent guides.

Ed is an iconoclast, always looking for something sacred to bend, break, and sometimes torch. He also has a few ideas about ways to improve the craft, as well as what should be obsolete. For that, he has made a few enemies along the way, but as the old saying goes, you can’t make an omlette without a little whipping up of the yolk.

This blog is devoted to his decades of processing the data in hopes of figuring out something sensible about this experience. A fool’s errand, surely, but the absurdity of it all is what drives our empassioned romance with the wondrous.
