Again, the equation SA-0-NE = UR/PL = VP is broken down into elements:

A) SA-0-NE
B) SA = UR/PL
C) NE = UR/PL
D) SA = VP
E) NE = VP

G) SA/NE = UR/PL

This time, we’ll look at G) SA/NE = UR/PL, the alignment of the two combination midpoints.

Because midpoints are really axes, we need to count the -0- and the -180- as the same thing. I have attached all such moments below, starting with 1607. Why then? That is the settlement of Jamestown, Virginia – the first English settlement in what later became the USA. Also in this sequence is the colonial revolution period of 1774-5, which was led by the Virginians. I highlighted the alignments that fell on cardinal and cross-cardinal points:
