The Latest Assault on our “Inalienable” USA Bill of Rights

Most of you who know and adore me on social media probably don’t know that I once earned a degree in English and Journalism from that great bastion of education known as Western Illinois University. Yes, I can sense your envy from here. 😉

One of my early fans from Corbin Hall.

It’s true, they actually gave me the BA, and then promptly never bothered to call me up to see what I was doing with it.

I have a special fondness for the press, and the First Amendment. I live and die by that that right and responsibility every day of my life. I’ve never been sued, and I’ve also never sued anyone. I call it like I see it, but I always check my sources.

That fondness, however, has been beaten up a bit by the USA’s current regime’s leader, whom some call Orange Hitler, but whom others call Mango Mussolini. For many decades before he managed to get elected by losing the popular vote, he used, as a tactic against his detractors, vexatious nuisance lawsuits against people and institutions that operate under the First Amendment. Now that Orange Hitler is in charge, he seems hell-bent on using our Constitution for kinding. I’d chalk it all up to the fact that he’s a man without any actual talent for anything in life other than being an asshole, but it also has to do with a severe basket of personality disorders. He is a piece of human garbage on so many other levels; too many to ever list here.

This current regime is being aided and abetted by other special interest groups who have worked hard to browbeat our corporate media into being almost totally one-sided in the Middle East. They have now come also for our institutions of higher learning. I’m talking of course about the Israel Lobby, and their main components of the ADL and AIPAC, though other less visible groups have joined in the sabotage of our USA Constitutional rights – all for the sake of Israel’s inhumane hegemony.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I have nothing in particular against people of the Hebrew faith, any more that I do against people of the other iniquitous faiths. I’m an atheist, and have no use for all the inane dogma; no religion has my respect. To me, religion only makes me suspect the worst about anyone who wears it, and from there they need to show me that they aren’t a hopeless pile of psychoses.

I don’t hold every last Jewish person responsible for AIPAC, Likud, Bibi Netanyahu’s genocide, or Meyer Lansky. I also don’t hold every Saudi citizen responsible for bone saw murders, nor do I hold every last Bohemian responsible for that godawful Moulin Rouge. My expectations of all humans is that we simply be good people, and take a positive role in human decency to the best of our abilities.

We have a First Amendment for that very reason – to protect and empower the powerless, as it assumes that the powerful will always want to silence everyone else. As I like to say, the true spirit of the First Amendment is for “the powerless to speak truth to power, not the powerful to speak hate to the powerless.”

But, when I see that the Trump regime, in concert with the Israel lobby, is now arresting the powerless who were speaking truth to power, all I can think is that the truth is far to powerful for the powerful to handle.

The arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil on Saturday, March 8, in Mnahattan, at some unspecified time in the evening or night, seems to me to be a blatant violation of that person’s right to free expression. I have seen no evidence, yet, that his rights are not being violated by a tyrannical State, acting on behalf of another tyrannical State.

And while I have written my Congresspeople in support of Mr. Khalil, I can only sit back, hope for the best for him and us, and do some astrology.

The Bill of Rights

Khalil’s arrest is so egregious that it may give us a chance to test the question of whether the Bill of Rights became effective on the day it was ratified by the Virginia Assembly – December 15, 1791 – or whether it became effective on the day Thomas Jefferson formally attached the Bill of Rights to the Constitution – March 1, 1792.

(For the record, my discussions with other astrologers about this has almost always ended up with the December 15 date as the proper astrological moment. For the sake of argument, I have always taken the March 1 side, and am always told I am wrong.)

My astrological assumption is: a true chart for the Bill of Rights would have to be under transititng planetary stress during the arrest, and the chart under the most stress would likely be the best chart for the Bill of Rights. To do this, I have constructed three charts in Solar Fire with this data:

  • Ratification: Williamsburg – high noon: Dec 15, 1791, 11:55:46 LMT.
  • Publication: Philadelphia – high noon: Mar 1, 1792, 12:12:27 LMT.
  • Khalil arrest NYC – Moon conjunct Mars: Mar 8, 2025, 7:38 pm EST.

As of now, I have no precise time for Khalil’s arrest; sources are saing the evening or Saturday night. Seeing as the Moon conjoined Mars that night, I defaulted to that moment. I also have no precise data for the other charts, so I defaulted to Sun-on-the-midheaven “high noon” charts. (Yes, yes, I know this is imprecise, but we have to start somewhere.)

Notable Elements of the Williamsburg Ratification Chart

Figure 1

I always like to start out with my array of fixed stars, and the above chart does that. I’ve removed all the muckity-muck of stars that are not in play, and got this:

Figure 1a

The thing at the top on the mideaven conjuct the Sun is the Galactic Center. The Galactic Center was unknown to anyone in the 18th Century, but here we have a tidy conjunction, perhaps an astro-stumbling into the truth. If the Solar System’s center is an astrological center of the truth and the “will,” then the Glactic Center could be the significator of universal truths – those “inalienable rights.”

From there, we see that Mars is setting, in square to the Sun, and conjunct Zavijava. I would say a dexter square with Mars like this is another layer of “truth” in the chart, but in the sense of fighting for something. Anger is an honest emotion, and with the Sun, courageous.

The bottom of the chart is the belt of Orion. On the left, we have Saturn conjunct Alpheratz [aAN for alpha Andromedae], and the rest of the square of Pegasus.

Thus, we have a kind of planetary activation of a constellational quadrature, at least somewhat. We could imagine that this Bill of Rights’ Sun/Galactic-Center conjunction represents some kind of universal centered truth about, well, human rights that are above the fray. Sun square Mars is about truth as well – “self-evident” truth, perhaps.

People in 1791 did know about the planet Uranus, and its conjunction with the Moon in this instance does tell us that this Bill of Rights may be a unique and transcending development for “the people.” (Uranus is also prominent in the chart for the Magna Carta, but that is for another time.)

This noon chart was cast to understand the general astrological energy of the day, in which a vote by an assembly made history. When that assembly “ratified” the Bill of Rights, becoming the 9th State to do so, making enough states to ratify for it to be added to the Constitution, it was only acting in its own self-interest. Other states ratified the Bill of Rights afterward as well, because that’s how things were done. And, given that it was 1791, there was no way for an email to be sent to Philadelphia to tell the Federal Government that the vote had taken place. Information was only as fast as the snail mail of the day.

What happened next was that the clerk of the Virginia assembly authenticated the ratification, and then sent that official news up to Philadelphia by horse-and-buggy.

Notable Elements of the Publication Chart

After the papers were delivered to the Federal HQ many days later, the papers needed to be accepted as authentic. From that point, it was up to the Executive Branch to deem the proper steps had been taken for ratification by enough states; Because this new language was to be added to the official Constitution, new official documents had to be created and then sent out to the several States so that they all knew what the fuck was going on (there were no websites back then). We know that Thomas Jefferson did make the necessary and official addtion of the Bill of Rights to the Constitution on March 1, 1792. That chart looks like this:

Removing all the irrelevant stars:

Figure 2a

Here we see that Moon has moved into conjunction with Orion, specifically the belt stars, and Alnitak [Alk] – the “Great Pyramid Star” – and thus opposite of the Sun in the Williamsburg ratification hcart. In trine to that Moon is Mercury, in conjunction with the stars that mark Mars’ exaltation. Pluto was not known to humans in 1792, but I find it quite salient that this chart has an “art of persuasion” Mercury/Pluto conjunciton.

We also see that Jupiter had moved through a conjunction with Neptune, always a good sign for idealism, and abundance. Saturn has moved out from being aligned with Pegasus, which may or may not be important. Mars had stationed and turned regrograde, within a close conjunction to the lunar node, and conjunct Porrima – the star that marks the exaltation of Mercury (along with Vindemiatrix). We could say that Mercury and Mars are in a “mutual reception” in terms of those exaltation stars.

Comparing the charts:

Figure 3

We see that there are some crafty interchart alignments (remembering that Pluto and Neptune were still unknown to anyone in the 1790s), but most important is the interchart full moon:

Figure 3a

The Arrest of Mahmoud Khalil

As I mentioned above, I have no sourced time for the arrest, even though it was filmed by his wife. We know it was dark outside at the time and before midnight. This radix is cast for the conjunction of Moon and Mars, which is in trine to the Sun:

Figure 4

The lack of aspects to Mars, other than with Sun and Moon, may show why the incident went down without violence. Sun in a separating semi-square to Pluto, however, points to subversion. But, we won’t know the full extent of that until we compare to other charts.

Figure 4a

What Does the Khalil Arrest Show?

With the Williamsburg Ratification:

Figure 5

Quite a bit! I find it almost too perfect that the arrest Sun is transiting conjunct the Ratification ascendant. Arrest Saturn is activating the Ratification Sun/Mars square as well; Arrest Moon/Mars is squaring Ratification Saturn; Arrest Uranus is “quincunx” the Ratification Sun, while the Neptunes of both charts are also in “quincunx”; Arrest Sun is also “quincunx” the Ratification Moon/Uranus conjunction.

The fact that Moon is conjunct either Mars or Uranus is interesting, considering that astrologers like to say that “Uranus is the higher octave of Mars.”

With the Federal Publication:

Figure 6

This interchart scenario also rings, but perhaps with more alarm. Arrest Saturn is in an exact square to Publicaton Moon, while Arrest Moon/Mars in square to Publication Saturn. Moon in a mundane chart represents “the people” at large, and so this sinister (appling) square from Saturn – the police – is concerning. In other words, we have a compounding of stressful Moon/Saturn interchart energy, where the domination of Saturn (the State) over Moon (the people) points to authoritarianism and tyranny. In other words, the State is trampling on ALL OF US.

Orange County Register, March 12, 2025.

With the so-called benifics, a bright spot of Arrest Jupiter in square to Publication Sun shows up, and that may be evident with the outcry from those on the judicial end of things. Saturn may be “the law” but Jupiter is “the judge.” Arrest Pluto conjunct Publication Venus and square to Publication Jupiter is troubling, however, and may indicate a kind of wickedness from the arresting party, or at best an undermining of the social contract.

This is some serious shit. Other hard interchart interactions are present – Arrest Uranus square to Publication Mercury/Pluto. I hesitate at this point to run through a whole battery of 45-Dial analyses. For now, these basic interchart contacts show, prima facie, a very bleak situation.

Hardly the First Time

This is hardly the first time someone has had their First Amendment rights violated by the “authorities.” The number of civil cases won against the police and other civil institutions, for violating free expression rights, is too many to count. What makes this situation different is the influence of the State of Israel through the Israel Lobby, who have demanded (without any pushback, surely) that Khalil be falsely labeled as a “terrorist,” and that Columbia University be punished to the nth degree.

As we all know, a huge conflict erupted on the morning of October 7, 2023. I don’t need to explain it here, it is well-documented, and well-propaganda-fied. Since that time, Israel has gone on a bloodthirsty anihilation of Gaza, not only killing tens of thousands of innocents, but also destorying almost every last home, hospital, and school in the territory. All of that went on with support from the USA’s Biden White House, backed by the entire GOP, and continues with even more support from the 34-felonies regime.

And, so it makes sense to look at that astrology as well, and I will in a future post.
